Spring Semester Week 10 (includes story summary)

 Week 10: What Jo Did

Story Summary:

This story is about a young girl named Joana Marie who loves to play basketball.

Her parents bought a basketball hoop, but the rim was too high so she learned how to dunk a basketball when she was little.

One day, she wore a baseball cap to cover her hair, and a boy with a Bulls tank top approached her after losing his basketball near her house.

A group of boys thought Joana (Jo) was a boy.

She introduced herself as Jo and the boy with red hair introduced himself as TJ.

They boys invited her to play ball with them

Jo made a jump shot during a ball game which impressed the boys.

The Bulls fan said that he never even saw Michael Jordan jump as high as Jo did.

Jo told them that she practices a lot with her dad.

A kid with a Lakers jersey tried to demonstrate how to dribble a basketball.

After she made the dunk shot, her hat fell off and all of the girls were surprised when they found out the Jo is actually a girl.
